8 visiting instrumental teachers are responsible for the tuition of approximately 150 pupils.

These 20 minute lessons, both individual and shared, are taught throughout the school day, following a strict rota in order to create minimal impact on the daily school curriculum.  Pupils are prepared for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music examinations in theory, brass, and piano and Trinity College of Music for woodwind, voice and drum examinations.
